  • RE: Blizzard Bombshell: All Your Passwords Are Insecure; Deal with it!

I'm going to be "brutally" honest here. This sh#! is getting old. Intel needs to support Vpro in every enthusiast rig by providing Vpro compatible motherboards at an affordable price tag to the mass market so that the dual authenticating technology is equipped in every LEGITIMATE connection either for online retail, banking, or as in this

How well received is this new ITP security chip? Does it live up the the hype? We need a replacement for security software aka "mirageware" that can not only ensure untampered two way connections via internet but also enforce overall PC system security thereby preventing coded hijacking/interference of any kind. What strikes me odd is that

  • Re: Prey 2 Teaser Trailer

This teaser trailer has me psyched! The first Prey had an awesome storyline and a hilarious "Duke Nuke Em" styled 1st person, in-game, comedic script recited by our beloved Cherokee Indian protagonist that is seldomly used at all by games other than the long vacant Duke franchise. We need more dark comedy. Couple this comedic strong suit with

  • RE: TruLink 60GHz WirelessHD Kit Cuts The Cord To Your Blu-ray Player

I don't blame anyone for being skeptical about wireless technology given the ease of interference and other "disturbances" that prevent practical usage. But if they can make this technology cheaper and faster than wiretransfer, well then, why not. I'd hate to have to rely on bluray discs for transporting data. Now about security..

  • RE: Online Vendors Now Taking Orders for AMD 6-Core Phenom Chips

AMD will always be the budget CPU with the occasional anomaly outperforming Intel once in a blue moon. But none of these CPU's will perform up to their fullest potential for as long as the software doesn't take advantage of the hardware and especially if there's malicious coding preventing it from doing so be it BIOS altering to fry your

  • RE: Asus "Ares" Dual-5870 Video Card Declares War, Takes No Prisoners

The 5870 is good and a dual option is even better but a 5970 is the official BEAST. Now, the real name of the game is video game compatability otherwise known as performance. What good is a card no one is developing for or a card that supports Dx 9/10/11 but can't crank the necessary framerates? It's all about timing. Before you jump into bed

  • Re: Overclocking - Is it worth it?

If you have watercooling installed definitly overclock....just make sure to time out the purchase of CPU and other components along with the support for games. For example, 2003-2004 was an excellent year to purchase a PC with the release of Doom 3 and HL 2. Those two games were the benchmark for PC performance just as Crysis continues to be and eventually

  • Sound Technical issue

My speakers aren't emitting any sound all of a sudden. How can I determine if it is a hack job and remedy it? Under device drivers everything shows up okay for my creative audio 2. All cables are hooked up as they should be. Strange. My firewall is up :)
