A gnarled staff roughly 2 meters in height? Too late, filed that patent 2 years ago. :) Does anybody make one of these boxes with an integrated TV tuner? This is an HTPC waiting to happen, but without a TV tuner or the ability to add one, I'm not interested.

Will OLED be available in larger sizes by that time? I doubt it, and I think Dave's right about it being the death of plasma, at least for California residents.

Wow, first Bill Gates openly says that Steve Jobs is a really ok kinda guy, and now Microsoft actually admits to a mistake and takes steps to correct it by releasing source code?? Anybody else a little shocked by this week's Microsoft news?

"Intel has also agreed to abide by a set of business practice provisions." That's the part that interests me. Does this mean Intel has agreed to not give rebates or preferential treatment to vendors who only sell Intel? Does anybody have any details on that part?

Tough to believe this review is entirely impartial while it's surrounded on multiple sides by paid advertising for the device, including spots where there normally aren't ads. Motorola's really putting a big push behind this, aren't they?

I haven't seen any Verizon ads that attack Apple in particular. They seem to be mostly aimed at AT&Ts rather lackluster 3G network coverage. To be honest, if there was an iPhone for the Verizon network, I'd be more interested. I have no interest in being on AT&Ts network, it's really lousy where I live. Verizon's isn't perfect

I still can't stand the photo import mechanism in Vista. It's either all or nothing. I'll often have photos from multiple "shoots" or occasions on the same memory card. Vista won't let me give them a name that goes with the shoot unless I DL the card immediately after each use. XP was way friendlier in this regard. I could

AMD will look better in Q4 due to the strength of their GPU portfolio.
