  • Speed problems!

    Any suggestions, Ive just upgraded to: Athlon 800 (not overclocked - yet!) KA7 motherboard, 128mb Ram PC133 - yep its running at 133 2 * IBM GXP14 10gb hdd Matrox Millenium G200 (yup im gonna upgrade it) 8mb and a Diamond monster II 12mb. The problem im having is that when windows 98se starts up, i sometimes get an immediate reboot on the last stage

  • I dont know much about monitors but it could be that you have overcooked your refresh rate. Check that your monitor supports the refresh rate you are running, normally it blanks momentaraly if you have it set too high. Mr Ed - The talking horse!   • Memory question ???

    Can some kind soul let me know if they think a Athlon 800 system would run better with 1 * PC133 128 mb ram or 2 * PC100 128mb ram. I am running a lot of games, nothing in the way of cad systems or really memory intensive apps, oh except for Unreal Tornament Many thanks in advance

  • UDMA 66 how much faster is it?

    Hi guys, Ive got a ABIT BX6 motherboard and 2 * IBM Deskstar 10GB hard disks, P2 400. At the moment im using a standard IDE cable, could someone please tell me what is the highest UDMA this would support and how much faster it would be if i used a cable which supported UDMA 66.     Hi all, I have a PII 400 on an Abit BX6 with pc100 panasonic ram, 2 * Ibm deskstar 10gb 7200rpm hard disks, a matrox g200 and diamond monster II 3D graphics cards. Yup, I am new to overclocking the kit and wondered if some kind sole could offer any advice for speed improvements, preferebly without turning my pc into a melting metal and plastic hotpot
