Microsoft and apple are software companies. Yes they both have hardware and on the hardware end of things have products that are exactly the same end to end. However; Apple tends to support a small area of the hardware market whereas M$ tries to make software that works on everything. I see this as apples biggest failure. They are a Bebe against a Gap

Interesting; one think I have never understood is the bickering amongst companies like these two. They are like At&t and Verizon. Whereas AMD and Verizon both started out as partners or co-developers of a certain technology. Therefore both have gained from each other almost as much in one case or another to a degree that neither would exist without

You guys will have to excuse me for this, but DAMN. An operational computing unit in that size spectrum, and that looks like that wow. I love the keyboard angle scheme to you can tell some designers spent a nice amount of time on it. That is eloqeunt, and the specs seem decent. This is of course no performance king in any way. But think of what this

Hey; I also wanted to ask something related to SSD's and the part of the market. From what I was reading in the last Intel update specific to SSD technology there is a specific limitation at 22nm or lower. This limitation is basically that it is pointless to go any smaller than that, because the limitations from 22nm down are all but process killing

lol.... me to realneil, I am also glad to see you stuck around, as it does not always happen when someone joins us during a contest.

I will be upgrading all 3 users on my family share Verizon account as upgrades become available to a Droid I am thinking. I have also thought of flipping to Sprint for a palm, but I like the droid better. There also does not seem to be much price difference when you have 3 phones on sprint. It is 10 bucks a phone basically on Verizon, where Sprint the

Yes the main focus of this computer is going to be Photoshop/or GIMP. The Jbod 1 OS 2 raid 1 storage setup is also one of my options to. I wish I could grab a SSD for the single disk, but a budget of 1500 for everything does not really leave that as an option.

Thanks HKo45, I have thought about other implementations. However I also have a 1500 dollar budget, and I need a high end gpu display, keyboard, mouse, printer and everything else. So SSD is not a possibility. I have also thought about 2 in raid1 for OS and apps, with a large drive for storage. I think that a 3 500-1000 GB drives in raid 5 gives me

Well as far as it goes for At&t the damage is already done. The real point of all this is how poor there network is. Yes they may have phone service in more areas than what is shown. We already have 4G implementations going country wide, so what is there excuse for having last years technology in that low of an active implementation. I was an At&t

Yes, my neighbors budget for me on building this system is 1500. However, he needs everything, display, dvd drives, printer, windows etc.. So that 1500 is not very high, for a half way decent flat panel capable of photo work (not top end just capable) you can drop 175-200, which leaves me 1300. I also need a decent gpu which I'm thinking 5850, that
