Ya - all within norms of what they were before ... CPU is always under 52 and mobo around 35 (case open) ... I ran SANDRA diag test - went through perfectly fine ... then 4 hours later (so PC cooled down) I double-click on the Report.txt and it bombed.... Could this have anything to do with Windows? New device (PS)?"

I have an old P4 computer that I've been using constantly for about 5 years, about a month ago the Power Supply (500W) started making a high-pitch sound - so a few weeks ago I went to a local store - bought a new one (525W) and put it in ... Everything worked fine at first (simply browsing the net, etc... basic stuff) until 4 days later we tried

I have a DELL DIMENSION E520 that currently has 2x512 megs of RAM (1gig of ProMos PC2-4200 DDR 533mhz) and I want to upgrade (add 2 gigs for Vista) - after a lot of comments and reviews I found that the best price/quality for my Dell (keeping in mind my current ram and wanted to spend as little $ as possible) would be CRUSIAL. I've got a PC (Dell Dimension E520) whose HDD recently died, so I am in the process of backing up the data (that I can) using Ubuntu Live CD (awsome), at the same time as I go buy a new HDD I wanted to get some extra RAM (512megs for VISTA is kind of ridiculous) - but I want to get compatible RAM ... So I was looking for a way to find out exactly

I've got a 3.0GHz P4 w/ P4C800-E Deluxe Motherboard currently loaded w/ 2x 512megs of OCZ PC3200 (DDR400 2.5-3-3-7) RAM (1gig in Dual-channel). I was looking to add some RAM and had a spare 512meg DDR PC3200 (DDR400) RAM from an old DELL PC (not the same manufacturer, not OCZ) So, the question is, what is best? Add the extra 512megs of RAM or not

bob_on_the_cob: and you recommend the MASSCOOL or Rosewill more then the Cooler Master or stock Intel CPU fan? (pretty much all the same price)?

Ok - I have an old P4 S478 system that I still use all the time (wife's PC) but lately (past 6months) it gets extremely loud when at normal temperatures and insanely loud when it gets hot, sounds like a jet engine going off in my office and it has become unberable. Now, I am going to buy some Artic Silver 5 to help a little, but I thought while

An age old question, and I know I am going to get a lot of ^$@# for asking but, I am looking to buy an AGP video card to upgrade my old system (my 2nd system) for gaming. I find that most of the newer games, when looking to simply play (just playing at LOW everything) can't even do that much with the hardware I have (I assume mostly due to Directx
