Thanks for the info , but I have given up on the P5N32-E SLI and built a new system based on the P5K premium . I 'm finding it to to alot easier to overclock and my system is running stable clocked at 3.8 on air cooling.

I heard that Gigabyte will be releasing a X48 chip set mobo that will use DDR2 instead of DDR3. Is there any truth to this and if so does anyone know of a release date and any reviews on it?

Judging by the way the QX6700 and others held their value , I seriously doubt that the QX9650 would drop enough in price to be afforable . In fact I'm reading reviews on the Q6600 and may even snag it for around 250.00 and wait to see what happens with the future prices.

I have to agree with Kamrooz on this , the 790I is not worth 300-350 dollars for what you get and your still looking at having to buy the overpriced DDR3 with crappy timings. What's even worse is the 780I which is nothing but a beefed up 680I . Nvidia sure got one over on the consumers there with this so called new chip set.But hey if thats what

At this point I'm about to say the heck with it and buy a E8400 and wait for Nehalem to come out and just build a new system. I think that the E8400 and some good overclocking would do me until then. However I did have my heart set on a Quad. These delays are getting ridiculous and makes you wonder what Intel is up too . Are they having problems

Thanks for your help FlyinBrian, I found the same card in a PCI version for $160.00 shipped and have ordered it . I have plenty of room in my case but I perfered the PCI over the PCI-E. You've been a great help with picking out my card and I appreciate it . Once installed and I've had a chance to use it , I too will be able to advise forum readers

FlyinBrian, thanks for the help and could you tell me if these two cards are the same ? http://www.directron.com/xonard2pm.html#caption http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132001

So you are saying the Asus Xonar is better than the Auzentech 7.1 Prelude. Spending a little extra money doesn't bother me as long as it's worth the cash. I'm only going to be gaming , listening to music and maybe watch a movie every now and then. But whatever card I get , I would like to be able to hear some quality sound and with the least

Thanks for the info , I found this deal on the Z5500 ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1068250&Sku=L23-6334 ) now to just pick out a sound card. I'm checking out your links so thanks for the input.
