As gibbersome said, this is a preium service/computer. The prices shouldn't suprise you, since everyone who computers charges you these higher prices for each item. I'd say the case looks pretty sweet. I thought the macro keys on the laptop were an interesting feature that I've seen nowhere else.

I'm pretty sure that I said that you'd get more for your money by using a 9800GTX or similar card. They are around the $100 mark...

I still believe that if I'm paying full price for a game, I better get the disc too. I only buy games off of steam if they are on sale and much cheaper than retail. So I believe that you won't get steam equivalent sales from gamespot digital downloads.

I was really confused why you guys thought the card was so good, until I realized how much it will cost. Despite those numbers, I don't see why you wouldn't buy a 9800gtx or something around there. You'd get better performance, however that HD out is a nice feature. Regardless, this seems like a solid card for an HTPC.

I'm actually very tempted to give a whirl at making my own air cooler. I know its possible to buy all the stuff for it and here at school i have a welding/metal working shop. So anything is possible. Hitachi's are pretty good. I give them kudos for the beautiful design of that external. This could be my next external. I'm already running out of room on my 1tb. However, that price seems steep still.
