  • i7 2600k Overclocking Info

Hi, I am new to this site, so if this isn't the place to post this, please point me in the right direction. I recently acquired an Intel i7 2600k and ASRock Z77 Performance motherboard, and used it to upgrade from an AMD Phenom II X6 1100T BE and ASRock 970 Extreme4 motherboard. I was able to easily...

I hate to be the one to burst your bubble.... but for gaming... 24GBs of ram is WAY over kill. Also... ram disk was used back in the days of DOS. There is not real use for it anymore. If you used say 10GBs of that ram as a RAM disk... all 10GB would have to be read from one of your other disks and loaded...

  • Re: Intel Developer Forum 2010 Day 1 CEO Keynote Coverage

For a moment there I thought I was looking at a Logitech Tablet? The ten core processors sure are pretty cool! I would love to see what two of those could do on a single board with about 128GB of ram! It would basically be like having a mini production studio in your home. I am sure it will also cost...

  • RE: Intel Core i7-875K and i5-655K Unlocked Processors

Nice to see Intel copying AMD for a change. This is especially nice for budget users who want to buy a processor and overclock it so that it gets equivalent performance to one of the higher-performance processors. While I would like to go AMD due to the budget, I'd like to go Intel and get better...

  • Re: SLI- Ready Memory

Whoever wrote that "review" doesn't quote understand how SLI-Memory / EPP works. Corsair's (or anyone else's) PC2-8500 memory will always default to 800MHz because that's the fastest officially supported, JEDEC certified speed. All EPP does is take a portion of the SPD to store...
