    Yeah, I'm pretty psyched too. Unfortunately, there's no way to tell if this is just a pet project of one of the devs, or if there's a set internal direction to eventually support the Linux desktop. I guess we won't really know until Valve makes an announcement. Working on Linux support...

    Oh my... I saw another post where a guy made some educated guesses at the URL and found THIS FILE out on Valve's servers. I was able to download the files from the public/client directory of their server. In addition to the standard Steam directories, they contain a directory...

    I bought it just there now, cost in total (incl VAT) €9.99, so whatever that is in dollars I guess. Also because I already had Half Life 2 I'm allowed give it as a gift to a friend.

    I downloaded and installed the demo via Steam. Runs pretty slow under Linux+Wine unless you dial down the video settings, but it sure does look good.
