What I'd like to see, when Apple does condescend to vouchsafe us an iPhone 5, is for HH to run a side-by-side test of that apparatus and the GooPhone I5. It would be interesting to see the results and compare the (unlocked) prices for the respective machines.... Henri

Rip-off ? Isn't the principle «first to register gets the patent» ? Isn't that what Apple's patent's are based on : ripping off prior art and then registering it ? What's sauce for the Apple goose is sauce for the GooPhone gander, in China and elsewhere.... Henri

With regard to Apple's desire for 30 or 40 USD for each and every Samsung smartphone or tablet sold, respectively, HH readers might find it interesting to note that Motorola Mobile is now taking Apple to court and seeking a ban on the import of, among other things, iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers...

Apple has shown itself to be quite competent in «borrowing» - generally speaking without the developers' knowledge or permission - ideas and concepts from others and packaging and marketing them in a manner which appealed to a certain section of the public willing to pay inflated prices...
