  • RE: Sony Bans PlayStation 3 Hackers Forever

[quote user="dodgers2213"] According to that ruling, yes I can't say Copyright Infringement is Theft. I'm sure there is a hot debate against that, and I would be for a change on that ruling. In any case, if a person is pirating something then they should understand potential punishments...

  • RE: Steam Slashes Prices, Offers Killer Holiday Deals

The HumbleIndieBundle2 is still on sale for about another day , and now as a bonus, if you pay more than the average (currently $7.72) - they give you the first HumbleIndieBundle (6 more games) free! It's a great way to contribute to Childs Play, the EFF, and these indie developers - so check it...

  • RE: Steam Slashes Prices, Offers Killer Holiday Deals

DON'T MISS THIS: Speaking of Steam - The HumbleIndieBundle2 , where you get to name your own price, also provides you with a Steam code (and a Desura code) when you buy. Or, you can also download the games (DRM free) directly from the page whose URL they e-mail you after you buy. You can download...

  • Osmos

Not sure if you guys saw this one already, but this is a great game: http://www.hemispheregames.com/osmos/ There's a free demo version on their site, and the full version is only $10 (for which you can download all versions - Windows, Linux, and Mac, *plus* the soundtrack... all with no DRM). I bought...

  • RE: Microsoft Declares It's Time To Focus On PC Gaming

[quote user="MGonzalez"] It's ok 3vi1 no need to be butt hurt about not even 10% of computer users not using Windows... It's time to accept the facts. Microsoft builds far better software than the rest. If that hadn't been the case, the Operating System marketshare would've...

  • Oil Rush

Have you guys seen this (Oil Rush) yet? The Unigine engine is looking pretty hot, and I'm stoked that there's going to be a native Linux version.

  • RE: Sony Shoves More Storage Capacity into New PS3 Models

BTW: This extra storage will come in really handy now that the PS3 has been hacked as a result of Sony removing the OtherOS function . (http://psx-scene.com/forums/cmps_index.php)

  • Alien Swarm

Don't know if anyone else (except Bob) noticed yet, but there's another free game out on Steam today: Alien Swarm. Bonus: It appears to work under Wine with no issues.

  • Re: Counterstrike Source Overhaul

Yeah, I'm hoping the same thing but trying to keep my expectations in check. Valve's silence (rather than outright denial) plus the partially-functioning alpha version of Steam for Linux found on their site shows that at least they're considering it. They probably don't want to commit...

  • Steam for Linux - IT'S OFFICIAL (maybe).

This just might be the best thing to ever happen to Linux: According to several sites that have been breaking the Steam for Mac news: "Valve has also confirmed that it will make Steam available to Linux users in the coming months." [emphasis mine] ( http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/apple...
