Personally, I find the prospect of Google - or any other firm or public institution - possessing so much qualified information about me that a software product it employs can anticipate all my wants and desires rather disturbing. Am I alone in this ?... Henri

Good to see competition in this vital area ! Both businesses, institutions, and not least, private persons would be advised to take a look not only at Google Apps, but also such open-source services as LibreOffice , which is available in versions for, in addition to Windows, GNU/Linux and Mac as well...

I prefer the google maps street view tour of their NC data center. It gives you a nice walking tour of the place.

Myself, I use SCIM in Ubuntu, which supports, CJK, Indic, and many European languages, and which supports Gmail. But I applaud this initiative - one of the things that Google gets right !... Henri
