Ubisoft’s “Watch Dogs” has been a hotly anticipated title--a franchise, even--and both AMD and NVIDIA are releasing graphics drivers for the game’s release.

This game is a demanding one, to be sure. NVIDIA says that minimum requirements include an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 (2.66 GHz) or AMD Phenom II X4 940 (3.0 GHz), 6GB of RAM, and GeForce GTX 460 graphics. In order to run the title at “ultra”, you’ll need the one-two punch of an Intel Core i7-4770K (3.5GHz) and a GeForce GTX 780.

Ubisoft Montreal developed its own scalable Disrupt engine just for “Watch Dogs” and promises better multiplayer action, more engaging AI elements, and more detail in the open-world environment. It also has 4K surround support, too.

NVIDIA detailed many of the graphical wonders you’ll see in the game, including the ambient occlusion, anti-aliasing, depth-of-field, level of detail, and water--which is truly amazing.

Yowza...

The driver update (GeForce 337.88 Game Ready WHQL Drivers) offers 75% system-wide DX11 and SLI performance optimization, reduced game load times, new and updated SLI profiles (including a special Watch Dog profile that promises 95% scalability), and enhancements to 3D Vision.

You can get the new NVIDIA drivers here, and the AMD drivers will be available here. Happy gaming.

It sounds like Nvidia's GameWorks is really screwing over AMD users. That's a pretty lame move on their end.

Actually this game really needs it. TB was running the game at Ultra 1080P on his SLI Titans and the game would dip to 30fps.

People who have SLI TITANs can't run this game smoothly at ultra still. I think Watch Dogs needs it.
