this is one of the most exciting articles i've seen! 3d printing just isnt getting enough press! my hats off to makerbot, you can really tell they want to get a 3d printer in everyones home and i for one cant wait!
Those 3D printers just amaze me! Seeing the things that some of these people make is awesome. Takes cos play to a whole new level! lol. Still really awesome how detailed these things can print an object
$6,499 doesn't sound like much and probably isn't for corporate use. But the big thing will be when 3D printing is brought to consumers directly.
Think about that for a second - what if I could make a toy that my kid wanted instead of going to buy one? What if I could fabricate a casing for a NUC instead of paying someone for one? And if I could do it all at home?
I'm excited to see 3D printing take off but I'll be holding off on my biggest applause until it gets into homes more.
