Just like a game title you purchase on a disc, you can now share your Steam games with family and friends. The Steam Family Sharing feature has exited the beta phase, so it’s now available to all Steam users.

Perhaps the sharing feature seems too good to be true, but the restrictions are quite minimal. You can authorize up to 10 devices at once and 5 accounts, and you have to be online to play, but it’s not just individual games you can share--it’s entire libraries.

Steam Family Sharing

One big (and we suppose obvious) limitation is that you can’t necessarily share games that require a special key or subscription. Further, only one player can access the shared library at a time.

Your friends and family can earn their own Steam achievements and save their own game progress, too. To enable sharing on your Steam account, visit the “Family” section of your Steam client settings.

Now if only I wasn't the only PC semi-gamer in the family.

This is cool. Plenty of gamers in my family.

Dogs are great judges of character, and if your dog doesn't like somebody being around, you shouldn't trust them.

This is amazing! Brings back the days when you went to your buddy's place with your mega man cassette to your friends house to try to beat the game together...
