Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is a funny guy. He's also highly opinionated (aren't we all?) and an unabashed fan of technology. Hence, if you're a diehard Apple fan, you'll have to forgive the Woz for suggesting that the Cupertino outfit get in bed with Google and build an Android phone. The day that happens is the day Steve Jobs digs his way back to the surface like a character from The Walking Dead.

Don't get us wrong -- we're not saying it would be such a terrible idea to play on both teams. And some of what Woz has to say makes a lot of sense.

"There's nothing that would keep Apple out of the Android market as a secondary phone market," Wozniak told Wired in an interview. "We could compete very well. People like the precious looks of stylings and manufacturing that we do in our product compared to the other Android offerings. We could play in two arenas at the same time."

Android iPhone

He has a point. Apple devices have always been trendy and, for the most part, well constructed. They've also always ran iOS, but could you imagine if Apple released an Android handset of the same quality? Samsung would have its hands full trying to compete, assuming Apple fully embraced the open source platform rather than choose to overly customize the design and build in a bunch of restrictions (and that's a big assumption).

We can speculate all day long on how it would play out, but in the end, it's not going to happen. Woz isn't part of Apple's day-to-day operations anymore, so he can say wild things without any repercussions. What's more, Apple chief Tim Cook was hand-picked by Jobs, the same guy who once said he would be willing to bankrupt Apple to bring Android down. Cook is a different person and you can never be too sure of anything in this industry, but we'd still be pretty shocked if he green lighted an Android device.

From a business standpoint,.....dipping into the other guy's market share is a good idea if you can do it right.

An Apple Android Phone or Tablet would sell like crazy.

Dogs are great judges of character, and if your dog doesn't like somebody being around, you shouldn't trust them.
