You can stop beating yourself up over missing out on Amazon's Kindle Fire sale prices on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. If you missed out on both opportunities to save a little pocket change on a tablet purchase, today is your day of redemption, depending on the model you're interested in. That's because the mega e-tailer has quietly slashed certain SKUs by 20 percent, though you'll have to decide fast because the sale is valid for today only.

You can score an ordinary Kindle (6-inch display, Wi-Fi connectivity) for $55.20 with Special Offers or $71.20 without Special Offers. The Kindle normally sells for $69 and $89, respectively.

Kindle Fire HDX

Amazon is also offering its Kindle Fire HD 16GB tablet for sale. It's marked down to $135.20 with Special Offers and $147.20 without Special Offers, versus $169 and $184, respectively. With the discount, both SKUs are cheaper than the 8GB version, which runs $139 and $154 (with and without Special Offers).

Finally, the Kindle Fire HDX 7-inch 16GB Wi-Fi tablet completes the trio of discounted tablets for the day. With Special Offers, it runs $183.20 (down from $229), and without Special Offers, it costs $195.20 (down from $244).

Anyone plan on buying any of these devices, or do you have your sights set on a different e-reader/tablet?

I was tempted to get a hdx because of the sd800. But it doesn't have a rear camera and I can't stand it's bastardized version of android so I went with a new nexus 7
