Yikes. You let your 8 year old or younger use any device with out some sort of parental controls on it and you're just not taking necessary steps as a parent. To use an internet phrase: FAIL.

I let my 11 year old surf and play games on the Internet, under supervision of course. Your jusr asking for trouble if you don't supervise.
gone are the days when dial-up hassles were all the online supervision/prevention you needed.
I find it scary that people let such young children use the internet unsupervised. I can understand letting children use computers without constant supervision, but without ANY supervision seems very reckless. It just asks for trouble and for children to see inappropriate things. I finally understand how polls come to the conclusion that 11 years of age is the average first encounter age for porn.
