Salivating for a slice of delicious Key Lime Pie to go with your Android device? So are we, but unfortunately Google may be preoccupied with another Jelly Bean build before it launches another major version of its open source Android software. The evidence is in Google's server logs, some of which show references to Android 4.3.

It's not difficult to spoof server logs, but the detectives at Android Police claim to have traced the IP range of the logs in question right back to Google itself.

Google Nexus 4

"In fact, two different IP ranges, both corresponding to Google employees. Employees that have a lot to do with Android. It's the same IP range that had previously clued us in to some of the unreleased versions of Android before they were announced," Android Police reports.

The references in question are for "Android 4.3 JWR23B," with the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 being the two devices that have showed up next to the entries. It's also interesting to note that there are comments in the official Chromium bug tracker that list JWR23B as a build number, providing further evidence that another version of Jelly Bean, not Key Lime Pie, is around the corner.

Not too worried myself. JB is solid and I think KLP has too bring something new to the table. Google has leant not to update too fast.

Hmmm... I'm a little skeptical about this. The reason why I say that is because if the introduce the new Motorola X phone, than I think that they will release it with the next big update for android.

i actually respectfully disagree. This is great news for android lovers because by not doing a major update then its easier for developers to maintain apps and for phones to get upgraded since its not such a huge jump. Remember the jump from 2.3 to 4.0??? yeah it took forever for many phones even flagship. So by them keeping it jelly bean is really all around better. Also 2.3 and under needed the massive overhaul. ICS and above is now much more beautiful and fluid so minor improvements for the time being are welcomed. And they may still be big improvements just not in the way we may think. 4.2 added some nice features like photosphere and the daydream and profiles(for tablets at the moment). So who knows what new features they could add just even if it still is jelly bean.

I guess i dont understand your point or how that would make you skeptical??? Your statement is correct so that shouldnt make you skeptical. galaxy nexus released with 4.0 then was upgraded to 4.1 the nexus 4 was released with 4.2 so it may be upgraded to 4.3 then the next nexus will come with it preinstalled. So it wont be that surprising and its technically released with the next big android update.

Jelly Bean is pretty solid. I mean what improvements other than faster/stable do you need? Android is pretty good right now and doesn't need an update every couple months.
