As a Uverse customer I've been really interested in these products since I first heard about them last year. I wouldn't be interested in the whole package as my house is only 1400~ square feet so only so much automation can be done but front and backyard cameras along with the lights in the same places would be great. It's all going to depend on hardware prices whether I get I try this out or not.
Wow; home automation is definitely the next wave, and it is also why I was laughing when the article was posted a couple weeks back saying 10-15 years and we would be able to have home healthcare etc., if this thing works like there saying it would be full portal to portal web conference, and Imagine being able to see control and write programs for your own home automation system remotely from any web portal.
Home Automation is a VERY VERY slowly moving wave that started 20 years ago. There is no earthly reason why it should not have taken off long ago. There are a thousand vendors offering the same products, but very few buyers. Smartphones could kickstart things, but they havent yet. Frustration for those of us anxious to start thinking about Home Automation 2.0.
Motion sensor lights go well with my dual-canine alarm system.
It all costs me a lot less, and that's good considering that I can't afford this technology.
Dogs are great judges of character, and if your dog doesn't like somebody being around, you shouldn't trust them.
