I'm not at all opposed to owning and driving a hybrid automobile, which is why if I ever have the means, I won't hesitate to buy a LaFerrari. Realistically, that's a pipe dream and is unlikely to happen, not just because of the price tag, but also because Ferrari only plans to build 499 of its new model car. It's already received twice as many requests, and for those who can afford one, it's easy to see why.

LaFerrari Front

LaFerrari looks nothing at all like a Prius or Volt or any other mainstream hybrid vehicle. In fact, it doesn't look like a hybrid at all, though Ferrari claims it reduced Co2 emission by 50 percent compared to its Enzo. Don't worry yourself over performance, it still has the muscle to get from point A to point B with plenty of time to spare.

LaFerrari Side

There's 800HP available from the 6.3-liter V12 combustion engine and 163HP from the electric engine, the end result of which is a 0 to 200 km/h (124.4 MPH) in less than 7 seconds. It can go to 100 km/h (62.1 MPH) in less than 3 seconds. Not too shabby for a car that weighs 2,800 pounds.

LaFerrari Doors

"It is the highest expression of excellence of our company: technological innovation, performance, futuristic style, driving pleasure. It is an extraordinary car, destined to our collectors," Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo said in a statement. "A car with technical solutions, which in the future will be integrated in our range and which are the benchmark for the entire sector. 'LaFerrari' represents the best planning and building capacities in our Company, including those acquired in Formula One, knowledge, unique in the world."

LaFerrari Interior

Pricing information is not yet available, though you can expect this one to cost in the neighborhood of $1.5 million, give or take a few hundred thousand dollars (the Ferrari Enzo carried a $1.2 million price tag).
