"Unfortunately, you won't be able to pop your PS3 titles into the PS4, as it doesn't support previous generation games natively. If you want to play PS3 (and PS2 and PS1) titles, you'll have to stream them from the cloud -- boo!"
It makes sense. ARM and X86 are not very similar to say the least. But I think They'll port popular titles over or atleast provide some sort of low-level emulation.
Unless they can come out with Gran Turismo 6 that is a lot better than GT5 then I will have to stick with Xbox 360 or TBA Xbox 720 for Forza #. The only games I use the console for is race games and the PC for all other shootem up games. But I also have a little grandson now and if he say I want then Papa will buy..............................
Asus M4A79T deluxe,AMD Athlon II X4 620,PNY GTX285 1gb,Patriot Viper DDR3 1333 8gb,Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro,Diamond ATI TV Wonder HD 650 Comb,Plextor DVD-CD burner,Patriot PS-100 SSD 32gb ,WD 500gb 32mg,Antec Twelve Hundred Full Tower,Antec True Power Quattro 1000watts,Toshiba 40in 1080p for a monitor
The whole thing was a bit underwhelming, but maybe it's because my PC has been better than current gen consoles for a few years now and it just felt like the PS4 was catching up rather than advancing anything. I gotta admit it was great seeing Watch Dogs again, and if it's advanced enough to destroy my PC it might be motivation enough for me to spring for a PS4.
I want Clubdrive, bad. But aside from that, meh so far.
Is the PS3 CELL processor ARM based?
It's X86 actually, AMD-based believe it or not.

A year old+ PC game is going to be a selling point for their new console?
Yeah I didn't think jvanhummels statement was accurate but I googled it and found some articles from 2011 pointing to a toshiba cell CPU based on ARM...
I've seen nothing that sways me from my distrust of Sony and their past anti-consumer moves (removing features from PS3, music CDs with rootkits, EULAs that prohibit you from class-action, etc.).
What part of "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" don't you understand?
