The actual sales figures surrounding Microsoft's Surface Pro (and Surface RT, for that matter) haven't been announced, but one thing was almost immediately clear on launch day: there weren't enough Surface Pro units to go around. This week, Microsoft is actually addressing the shortages that consumers in the U.S. and Canada faced on the 9th, stating in a blog post: "We know some retail and online locations have been low or out of stock of Surface Pro and we’re working to address this."

What's the company doing to address it? In America, it's hipping additional units of the 64GB SKU to Best Buy, Staples and Microsoft Store now, while 128GB units will ship again "later this week." We're told that some of those should make it to shelves by the end of this week. Not surprisingly, Microsoft notes that the priority is on fulfilling orders for those that made reservations. Canada is following a similar timeline but may take an extra few days to start arriving.

Microsoft has also stated that "demand is high," and that it's "working as quickly as it can" to get the Pro to market. In other words, hang tight!

Because they're abysmal, according to every vendor available for comment.
