what's so whopping about $899 for a magnesium i5 WINDOWS (!!!) tablet. I know it is not the perfect Angry birds machine
Agreed. It's an Ivy Bridge-based, Core i5, Ultrabook class system with multi-touch support, a nice design, a stylus, an SSD, etc.

Intel Graphics though?
AMD or AMD's APU or NVidia please
I think $899 would be a great price if that included all the accessories...
I think your right, an APU would be a great fit.
I don't see how it's a "whopping" amount. It's like $100-150 more than a compatible ultrabook without a touch screen? The price seems perfect, it's the keyboard covers that are over priced.
Seems comparable to an ultrabook to me. With the upgrade in storage capacity, Core I5, and a touch screen $900 seems reasonable.
