So looking at these, I don't find them appealing in a phone; We've covered that. But, I do find them extremely attractive if they were built into vehicles. This would blend design with technology, and change the entire shape of your "Cockpit" in your vehicle. Assuming speech recognition continues to advance, we could see flexible displays appear where buttons and knobs once were.
In the larger format, I see immersive, curved screens a winner for the gaming market and for replacing multiple monitor setups. How wonderful... click a button and it curves to slightly envelop a gamer or business user. Click again, and the screen straightens back for normal viewing from across the room.
