Samsung on Tuesday expanded its Galaxy line with the introduction of the Galaxy Grand, a smartphone that's being marketed towards "users with fast-paced mobile lifestyles" and who "demand more from their phone." The sleek looking devices reflects Samsung's penchant for larger size screens with a spacious 5-inch display.

It also includes a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB built-in storage (expandable via a microSD card slot), 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, 8MP rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing camera, and more, all packed into a svelte chassis that measures 76.9mm x 143.5mm x 9.6mm and weighs 162g.

Samsung will ship the Galaxy Grand with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, along with the latest version of Samsung Hubs. There will be two models to choose from, including a dual SIM version (GT-I9028) that will launch first and a single SIM version (GT-I9080) to follow. With the dual SIM version, users will be able to manage two phone numbers from a single phone.

No word on when they will ship or for how much.

Hardware wise the specs are pretty similar to my Sensation 4 G, same processor, slightly more internal memory but close to the same storage with wifi a 8MB camera a tad more internal storage I think but it does not matter as I use a class10 32Gb Micro sd.

Wow it's marketing audience is so unique! Not... I can't wait till we hear about the phone marketed at "users with slow paced life style" who "demand less from their phone" lol.

Jokes, aside it looks like a good phone but what we're all really waiting for is some specs on the Samsung Galaxy IV

Sounds like another winner from Samsung. Still, I'm surprised it will not have a quad core processor.
