So I never put much thought into it, but I've been curious as to what the point of the post point system is? (Ha, incidental pun)

Exactly what are the points for, what do they do and how are they calculated?
I'm assuming they contribute to the little reputation block bar under peoples names... but what is that for also?

This all sort of hit me earlier today looking at the stuff by my pic on a post and I had a massive philosophical "why" moment lol.

E-peen?  I'm curious too.  But I have noticed that at least the way it's calculated seems to favor replies and discussions rather than hit-and-run "GREAT PRIZE" posting.

Probably just something that came along with the forums.

That's for sure, I'm all about everyone having a chance to win but those posts get a little irritating, and that's from what I see just browsing around.
I can't even imagine how it would get if I had to moderate posts, but then again maybe you just get used to them as giveaways come around

You earn points for a post. Then that goes up when people reply to you.

Dogs are great judges of character, and if your dog doesn't like somebody being around, you shouldn't trust them.
