Poor kids! These parents need to think about their kids' futures and whether those names would be wanted. Just sad.

Hashtag is pretty dumb, but just run through a list of celebrity baby names and you'll lose faith in humanity. One couple named theirs "Pilot Inspektor". There's also a Jermajesty, Tu Morrow, and Moon Unit out there.
"Hash" is going to be a horrible nickname.
The worst baby name ever is "Donald Trump."
To clarify, I think "Hashtag" is ridiculous name for an American child. However, we can't forget the Chinese who name their children after various things such as the Olympics. So perhaps there's a "Honey Boo Boo" running around somewhere in China?
Wow.... I hate th word "hashtag" to begin with and don't aknowledge anyone who uses the so called word and quickly change the subject. This baby being named one of the dumbest things ever... Wow... Michael Jackson's name Blanket is a better name everyone knows what a blanket is, we knew what a blanket was hundreds to thousands of years and we will know it in the future too. "Hashtag" is a new term hat won't be around decades from now. These parents are retarded. The doctor should have bunched this baby in the face after finding out its name and I hope children AND adults lick on tease bully and beat up his kid for the rest of its life until its parents learn from their mistake and the kid legally changes its name.
Pick on, tease, bully and bat up*

What part of "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" don't you understand?
++++++++++++[>++++>+++++++++>+++>+<<<<-]>+++.>++++++++++.-------------.+++.>---.>--.
Hashtag hashtag on twitter?
Well if the kid grows up to be a stoner then it might be perfect.
Poor children... now THIS is a negative impact of social media if anything can be considered so
You know you're addicted to social media when you force your child to grow up with such a ridiculous name...
PC Specs:
Yeah, I think they're going to regret this when in 5 years or so some other form of social media is the next big deal.
I think I can do one better, in 1991 they actually added article 54. to the Civil Code of Quebec to read:
If they refuse to do so, the registrar nevertheless draws up the act of birth and notifies the Attorney General of Québec. The Attorney General may bring the matter before the court within 90 days of the registration of the act to request that the surname of one of the parents be substituted for the surname chosen by the parents or that two given names in common use be substituted for the given names chosen by the parents.
Until the time for bringing the matter before the court expires or, if proceedings are brought, until the judgment acquires the authority of res judicata, the registrar of civil status makes a notation of the notice given to the Attorney General on every copy, certificate and attestation issued on the basis of the act of birth.
..because some parents wanted to name their kid "Spatule": plausibly a pelican from the sub-family Plataleinae, but more likely, yep, you guessed it, a kitchen spatula!

Oh man, that's so wrong, yet so funny!
That's sad. I would hate to have it as a name. I hate it when people say "hashtag" in real life in reference to twitter. Always bugs me when people use it on facebook too.
