Google Shows You How To "Get Your Google Back" On Windows 8

Indeed i have to give it to google. No one makes videos like they do. strait to the point but without going to fast that the average Joe / Jane cant keep up.

Maybe it just doesn't work in the Release Preview, but going to the getyourgoogleback.com doesn't seem to work - it has a "View in Windows Store" instead of "Install" option, and when you click it you go to the windows store but do not get directed to the app. There doesn't appear to be a search option either... which I'm also guessing *must* have been fixed since the Release Preview? :\

Hmmm... I also see that if you go to getyourgoogleback.com from chrome in Win8, you don't get the "View in Windows Store", or any install option at all. So, MS has once again integrated the browser with the OS. Nothing could possibly go wrong, security-wise, I'm sure.

"Microsoft's Windows 8 makes certain that Internet Explorer and Bing are front-and-center, shoving Google, Mozilla, and the rest of the browser / search crowd out of the door" WHY do companies do this?? They want people to buy their products but then make it next to impossible to customize or use them as they please. Another reason I won't be making the so called """"upgrade"""" ( to me there is too much about Win 8 that makes it a downgrade).

Really they had to make a video about that?.... i mean i love google i use it all the time, i installed it right away no problem at all, was simple and easy.

Hmmm...if Google open-sourced it, I'd love to see Ballmer's head when the gasket blew. 

Don't get me wrong. I've been on Linux for 6 years now, but I've heard that with the current version of IE, you can download Chrome and Firefox even quicker.

Cool ! And for those who have older versions of the Windows OS and want to install, say, Firefox without touching IE, eHow provides a brief tutorial....
