If you're a university or college student who wants to get your hands on Office 365, Microsoft has some good news for you: A special version of Office 365 called University will be available in the first quarter of 2013. This version will include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access.

Office 365 University will be available for $79.99. This subscription will entitle you to four years of use. In addition, Office 365 University will offer SkyDrive support along with an additional 20GB Premium SkyDrive Storage for a total of 27 GB. Another perk that comes with Office 365 University is 60 Skype world minutes per month.

Recognizing that people often have more than one PC these days, you can install Office 365 University on up to two computers for a single user. Office on Demand will provide a full-featured version of Office to an Internet-connected PC when you are away from your computer.

Office 365 University will be offered online, at retail locations, and at Microsoft Stores. Full- and part-time enrolled university and college students, faculty and staff in accredited institutions are eligible to purchase Office 365 University. You'll need to verify your eligibility online during the activation process.
