CyberPowerPC's system lineup just grew by three today with the introduction of its Zeus Storm series of desktops, which is represented by a trio of gaming systems that swing whichever way you do (AMD or Intel processors; NVIDIA or AMD graphics cards). The least expensive of the three is the Zeus 1000, an AMD-based system that starts at $1,429.

The default configuration consists of:
  • AMD FX-8150 processor (3.6GHz, 8MB L2 cache)
  • CyberPower Xtreme Hydro Liquid Cooling Kit
  • Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 motherboard
  • 16GB DDR3-1600 RAM
  • AMD Radeon HD 7870 graphics card
  • 128GB SanDisk SATA 6Gbps solid state drive
  • 2TB hard drive (7200 RPM, 64MB cache)
  • LG 12X Blu-ray reader / DVD burner combo
  • 800W power supply
  • NZXT Phantom 820 full tower case
  • Windows 8 64-bit

Upgrade options abound, and you can also downgrade certain areas to lower the starting price. For example, dropping down to a quad-core FX-4100 chip shaves $60 off the cost of the system.

There are two other starting configurations to choose from, the Zeus Storm 2000 starting at $1,685 (same as the above but with an Intel Core i7 3770K processor, Asus Z77 motherboard, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti graphics card) and the Zeus Storm 3000 starting at $1,945 (same as the 2000 but with a Core i7 3820 processor, Asus X79 motherboard, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 graphics card, and Corsair 240GB SSD).

All three systems are available to configure and purchase now and will ship when Windows 8 launches on October 26, 2012.
