Because it's just another Linux distro, with a custom desktop manager.

A lot of other Linux guys have been all enamored with webOS, and I understand why, but I just don't see the killer feature that's going to make devs and users decide to support it on the primary platform (phones) it targets. Maybe they'll surprise me and find some way I'm not thinking of to exploit the openness of the platform.
