I sell more tablets than desktop computers, but a lot of laptops, more than tablets. Everyone I sell to admits that they still need some sort of PC as the central communication point in the house. And if we are looking at it from a work perspective, only idiot will argue that PCs have been surpassed. I think the Windows tablet will change a lot in that regard, but that is it.
It's not too surprising but still... wow. Time to boost my desktop to 48GB to help even things out.
Yes, with 64GB I can make a decent sized RAM drive,..................
Don't part with your illusions. When they are gone you may still exist, but you have ceased to live.
I can never imagine my life without my "command center" desktop PC. Even though I have an iPhone, tablet (thanks HH!), and a PS3, I do the majority of my work on my desktop due to comfort. Even for things like videosteaming I use my desktop as a base and use apps like Tversity because my desktop can handle any format video and convert and stream to something those "dumb" devices can comprehend lol. I just can't give up the customizability.
As much as I love my smartphone, I need my pc for gaming and everything else.
Desktop PCs will not disappear, but their main user bases will continue to change........
