Verizon Wireless and Motorola announced three new DROID RAZR smartphones today. All three of the new phones—the DROID RAZR M, DROID RAZR HD, and DROID RAZR MAXX HD—offer 4G LTE connectivity to Verizon Wireless' network.

The DROID RAZR M features an edge-to-edge 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display. This smartphone is significantly shorter and narrower than the original DROID RAZR even though it has the same size display. Thanks to its design, the DROID RAZR M claims to be the most compact 4.3-inch 4G LTE smartphone.

The DROID RAZR HD features a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED HD display that offers 78 percent more pixels and 40 percent greater battery capacity than the original DROID RAZR.

The DROID RAZR MAXX HD features many of the same key features as the DROID RAZR HD but with increased battery capacity. According to Verizon Wireless and Motorola, the DROID RAZR MAXX HD offers up to 32 hours of "normal use" or up to 13 hours of straight video playback. If you're a web-heavy user, Verizon Wireless and Motorola says you should be able to get up to eight hours of 4G LTE surfing time on a single charge.

All three of the new DROID RAZRs run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Motorola and Verizon Wireless intend to offer an upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean by the end of this year.

The DROID RAZR M is currently available for preorder and should hit stores on September 13th for an introductory price of $99.99 after rebate and with a contract. The DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD will be available before the holidays.

Very confused by the tagline of the press release. "All the Power, Battery Life and Cool Design of DROID RAZR™ with the Speed of 4G LTE Three Times Over" The previous Droid RAZR phones *are* 4G LTE. So why are they trying to include that as a distinguishing factor? I hate press releases....
