Good but i wonder how many if these do you haave to trash before you can hit that world record
Probably not that many - its the CPU that matters in this case. Plus the record was beat only on 1 core / 1 thread, so it's not very real-world. Still impressive though.
It's unrealistic to think that the regular home user will get such an OC out of his PC,.......but it goes to the relative ease of overclock-ability with this mainboard when they post these stories.
ASRock just released an overclocker's mainboard too. It looks pretty good to me.
See it here

I may or may not be getting one of the ASRock boards pretty soon. (:
MSI have one out too, the Z77 MPower.
Of all of them, I think I like the ASRock and UP7 the most, and the MSI board the least, even though it's still rather sexy. Of course you can't rule out the ASUS ROG series, but, I'm just tired of black and red.
+ yeah I understand it's unrealistic to think a home overclocker would ever hit it, but I'd still find the result more impressive if it used all the cores at least, even if HT was disabled.
Nice looking board...if I was doing an Intel build it would be my first choice.
