Please note that the law does not require that the phone be listed in the subscriber's name; so when you call Verizon to change your listing, use the name of a pet. If they balk, you can point out that they have no legal right to list your name nor to sell your name without your consent, and that you're perfectly willing to take them to court, in a class-action suit, to recover all profits they have made from selling your name and information in the past if that's what it takes to get them to use the name you prefer. It doesn't matter if you really intend to do it; it only takes one person to launch such a suit, and Verizon will be out billions of dollars in legal fees and damages.
The only good thing abot verizon is their fiber optics internet. And thats it. Just like apple, wait theres nothing good about them.
