Seems like a make it or break it moment. I've thrown my support ($100) behind Ouya. Let's hope it actually comes out as a decent console.

As mentioned in the OP, this project has the potential to be a huge success - especially with the frankly massive amount of money they've been given - or it has the potential to be a waste of 8 million dollars, and the first nail in what could be many in Kickstarter's huge potential.
I truly hope it's the former, as the console market desperately needs some [true] innovation, and Ouya has the potential to deliver.
I totally agree Erakith but it is exciting to see this project both with is possibilities and it's impossibilities.
We are hoping they deliver too! We have a campaign outfitted for the OUYA console on Kickstarter and are excited to develop this game and future games on Kickstarter. It's an exciting time for indie developers!
