Well I don't know much about the economics of the cell phone industry but I think Sprint made the right move. It appease the Apple sheeps (I being one of them in the cases of their iPhones) and attracts customers that previously have been put off by the lack of the iPhone.
"You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to
them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new."
