This is exciting, beyond the fact that i can now use my phone as a credit card. This event marks the beginning of a new round of innovations aimed at one thing. Taking the place of your wallet. Surely the ultimate goal for google, where everything, ID's Student ID's and credit cards can be stored on your Iphone.
One police will ask us for our cell phone when we have been speeding not our ID.
Google still needs to fix some problems such as the factory default reset bug. When you reset phones with Google Wallet a security mechanism is triggered and Google Wallet sees the phone as a new device. Meaning your account with the cards is tied to your old device's ID and cannot connect to Google Wallet.
Before Google expands its app's features, it should fix existing problems first.
"You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to
them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new."
To be competitive in the mobile payment industry, a business has to show versitility and the best customer service. I guess Google just realized this especially now that more and more platforms are coming out, like in July an MPOS called mPowa (www.mpowa.com) launched in the US and in the US and was given positive reviews.
