Using my friends computer to write this

I just bought a new processor  Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz 820 Dual Core Processor 2MB 800MHz LGA775 MPN:HH80551PG0722MN   for my motherboard   ASUS Xtreme Design Motherboard P5G41T-M LX PLUS

But for some reason it's not reading it. It's showing my old processor speed of 3.20 ghz and not the duo core

It was recommended by several sites and it should worked without any problems. Is there something i need todo to get the Duo Core processor working ?

Put the old CPU back into it and make sure that your motherboard's BIOS is flashed to the latest one.
