LRDIMMs which are currently being offered (along with Netlist (NLST) HyperCloud by IBM and HP for their virtualization servers) is facing some legal issues - they have lost their patent reexamination challenge of Netlist patents '537 and '274 - all claims have survived reexamination. This means LRDIMMs could be screwed in NLST vs. Inphi (Inphi is the only maker of LRDIMM buffer chipsets).

Anyone know of a forum where folks discuss server memory - i.e. RDIMMs, LRDIMMs, and future DDR4 - for virtualization and data centers ?

I can address my questions there.

PS. - both LRDIMMs and Netlist (NLST) HyperCloud memory are being supported by IBM and HP in their Romley series of servers.  IBM calls HyperCloud - IBM HCDIMM and HP calls it HP Smart Memory HyperCloud or HDIMM.
