This is really a big split for me. I do not like the APPLE side of the smart device market becuase I don't like the containment clause when you buy an Apple product. I use an Android device personally. However; we got a LUMIA 7something for a weekend for Sarah. The only reason it was returned was because it would not do WIFI calling and connection where an Android device would. SO we got her a Samsung device in the end. Using the Windows phone device was almost seamless otherwise though I had it down in a few minutes at least generally. The performance was nice as well in that it performed on par from what I could tell with my dual core HTC Sensation so the OS is obviously very efficient. From what I hear it as of the Nokia 900 devices operates flawlessly over WIFI and more efficiently than there 700 devices did. A Samsung one probably operates better as they make everything internally from board to memory to GPU to processors so the standards overall would work together tighter (which is why the second generation Galaxy devices operate as reported in general) so a WINDOWS phone would be screamingly fast and efficient I bet across the board.
I really do want a windows phone and this one looks really good too. Might be a good alternative to the Lumia 900. The only criticism i have is that these types of WP7 devices are a bit late. WP8 is supposed to be out this fall, and as far as we know it wont be an upgrade for WP7 devices. This is part of the reason verizon still has virtually no windows phones and probably wont get this one either. Sure i could move to another provider but verizon is still the best where i am and where i travel.
only 4Gb?
im android user as well but im seriously impressed how well windows phone works with out 1gig of ram and dual or quad core processors(i do love my super specs though) but im dissapointed in the growth thus far and the app selection but for the average joe who doesnt need root or all kinds of apps but just needs angry birds on their phone, the windows phones are very good options.
