Samsung isn’t the only company rolling out Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich updates to its phones. HTC announced that 16 of its handsets with get the ICS treatment, although details on exactly when that will happen are spare.

We do know that HTC is in the “early stages” of pushing the update to HTC Sensation and Sensation SE devices, with Sensation 4G and Sensation XL to follow shortly thereafter. Considering that it will apparently take weeks for all Sensation and Sensation SE devices to get the update, it might be quite a while before owners of other handsets see ICS.

The full list of HTC phones destined for Android 4.0 is as follows: DROID Incredible 2, Amaze 4G, Desire, Desire HD, EVO 3D, EVO Design 4G, Incredible S, Sensation, Sensation XL, Sensation 4G, Sensation XE, Raider, Rezound, Rhyme, Thunderbolt, and Vivid.

Yup my Sensation will get ICS supposedly sometime this month is what they had said although I don't know it will probably roll out to April or May. I am actually mad T-MOUS does not appear to be getting the ONE X that is one sweet unit. I guess I will just have to be happy with my ICS Sensation for a while! Oh and don't think the Sensation and the ONE will have the same ICS as that is not the case. The Sensation version of ICS will be based on Sense 3.6 where the One ICS will be based on Sensation 4.0, the screwiest part is I believe the One V or whatever it is call that T-MOUS will be getting is also based on Sensation 3.6 I think with it's dual core and smaller screen where the ONE X has a better screen a 4.7 (Vs. a 4'3") screen a quad core +1 Nvidia Tegra chip etc I don't really like the non removable battery or the single flash camera but I won't be getting it anyway (dang it T-Mobile).
