Verizon's "DROID" branding has worked out well for them. And the DROID RAZR Maxx is the latest in a long line of potent devices that rely on Google's Android operating system. The RAZR Maxx, up until this point, was barely official. But now, there's an entire product portfolio page on Motorola's website, including a snippet that mentions a January 26th launch date. The biggest point here is the longest battery life of any 4G smartphone, with up to seven straight hours of Web usage, 21 hours of talking or 15 hours of movie watching. Android 4.0 is supported, and at 8.99mm thick, it's easily one of the slimmest phones on the market.

Verizon LTE, support for Office docks, an 8MP rear-facing camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack and the usual Android complements. No word on a price yet, but remember: 1/26.

Seven hours... That's impressive; surely people will appreciate having hours of time to do what they want to do and not have to worry about recharging, such as browsing the web and Facebook...

Let's hope other manufacturers can add longer-lasting 4G battery usage to their phones; this has been long overdue.

"up to seven straight hours of Web usage" I see the future now :) ------7 hours straight in that will do it :)

it's interesting how long we can use a smartphone :) I will like to see in 2050 how long will a smartphone batery usage last :-p
