I miss the low TDP chips AMD use to make, they were good performers and low consumers. Though that was back in the day where they led the performance market as well.

hopefully this can keep AMD's sales up. God knows they need this with the Bulldozer launch being what is was.
I've been seeing some A6-3400 notebooks priced at around $400, and I think that's a great deal! They trade CPU horsepower for better graphics, which I like, and in that price range they can't be beat. Bulldozer was a disappointment, but Llano rules in this segment! Hopefully Trinity will continue the goodness, and if they slap it into an Ultrabook-like chassis it'll be a big hit!

yep a pal of mine somehow bought a 400 Llano notebook all by himself and it is perfect for him and the price was great ! me thinks about 425.00 of so out the door a short time ago...no doubt a lot of us are going to be watching to see what Trinity will be doing in an Utrabook chassis too.
"Don't Panic ! 'cause HH got's your back!"
NewEgg was selling a Toshiba A6 laptop for $399, but that price jumped to $429 (now sold out!) when THIS article was posted. This weekend's Best Buy flyer had an A6 Samsung for $379, and an A6 HP for $399. Those are screamin' deals!
I have two AMD APU powered Desktop Systems. An A8-3850 and an A4-3300.
They both have the additional Radeon HD6670 discrete video card added to them for hybrid crossfire.
Both have 16GB of DDR3 RAM in them, one has Mushkin Blackline DDR3-1600MHz RAM, and the other has GSKill RipJawsX- DDR3-2133MHz RAM in it.
The motherboards, one ASUS and one ASRock have SATA-III controllers and USB-3.0 too.
They're low cost, low power usage solutions that will still game to a mid level smoothly with DX-11 Graphics that work.
AMD may be getting their butts handed to them on a platter with high powered CPU's, but these mid range solutions are very civilized for the price.
Don't part with your illusions. When they are gone you may still exist, but you have ceased to live.

Hopefully this will bring some ca$h in for AMD. They need it, especially after what "Bulldozer" did. I, however, am waiting for "Piledriver" to see what happens.
Amd is really doing better than they were before they are taking some hits with the llano and the bulldozer proccesors but they won't for long. they are going to do good around Christmas as people want to be cost effective. i expect to see there sales jump pretty well.
