Sounds pretty awesome...the upside to it being available elsewhere first means that (hopefully) some real world testing will let us (and by "us" I mean "me") know just how well it performs in the real world.
Been seeing some interesting things in this specific area like the monitors that have internal 3D processors. While I still think 3D is a poor substitute for holographic projection displays it will do in a pinch :)
Now I wonder how fast someone is going to hack this head tracking for something other than its purpose. I mean hell look at all the awesome things hardware hackers have been able to do with the Kinect.
Even though I don't like LG products, it's good to see this happening & hope that others will follow suite.
Yes! I have to agree with you again "gazd1". You're sure are right about their products not being up to scratch. I've had one of their LCD screens a long time ago and it couldn't even compete with Asus for a good picture quality.
I'd be curious to see reviews on how well this performs. I've been waiting for a good glasses-free implementation; I hate wearing glasses over my normal glasses. I never seem to get the right distance.
**Too bad there's no price, and it's hard to say if this thing will ever make it the U.S.**
"Probably as expensive as you would expect, and I doubt it will make it tho the states, but I would love to see in action in front of my desk."
Cool... But I have a feeling that it'll make it into the states eventually, I mean that IPS gaming monitor they had got released, I have some hopes that this'll be released in the states.
I do have to wonder if that camera can be used in Windows as well...

It's not listed for sale yet in Korea;possibly on the 7th.
The 20" 1600x900 DX2000 was released in October and sells for 1,080,000KW

I'm all for 3d, as long as it doesnt give me a headache. glasses technology sure didnt last long..
"@Smoghog, thanks. Well, that changes everything, It still pricey but accessible. If it was Sony we be talking about five or ten grand at least."
Prices in Korea all include the taxes.
Here there'a 130% tax on beer.
80% on wiskey
20% on domestic alcoholic drink called Soju
20% on Refridgerators and some other electronics
I really like the idea of a 3d monitor, but the main thing holding me back is the fact that there aren’t really many places that offer a good enough selection to ‘try before you buy’. At least for me a 3d monitor is not an investment i’d be willing to make without personally testing it.
Yeah! No price at all. That's for sure. They may scare their future customers away before they can see them at the local store.
