isn't it the courts job to define the laws? lol
The great firewall of the U.S. would come to pass if this entire bill passes.
I don't know why they're complaining about the DMCA and safe harbor provisions seeing as how sites like YouTube do take down content after they get a copyright notice... And the users who feel that they've been wronged can appeal so what's the big deal? They want so bad to want video sites to police itself and take down any source of alleged copyright, I mean who are these sites to know what is copyrighted and what's not and who are the RIAA to know what even constitutes as copyrighted material...
I mean we're at an age where downloading and sharing has become widespread... The RIAA seem to be at a point where it refuses to get with the times and instead uses it's power to try to force everybody to conform to their ways. They know what's right, they have the record labels on their side and therefore we should listen to them right? If I were a record company aligned with the RIAA, I would resign my membership with them due to the fact that what they're doing is wrong... I mean they shouldn't be able to decide which is copyright infringement and which is not, and they shouldn't try to stiffen the digital distribution of music and other media... Even the record labels (even though their making half-assed attempts of joining) are realizing this, the RIAA is not.
