this sounds so much like a first world problem.
who cares about the hard drive factories?
Um, well... We do; since these people make us hard drives that we keep our data on; I mean if the Hard Drive prices manage to rise well... We'd have to pay more for retail hard drives, the prices of computers would rise due to them using hard drives and well... We'd have to be more cautious with our data since there's no other place to put it...

I'm lucky! Yeah! Very lucky! I always keep some spare WD VelociRaptor hard drive discs around just in case I make another DIY PC again. I have there 600GB & 150GB sata 3 @ 6GB/s in the VelociRaptor kind. I like windows XP & I have 3 of their retail boxed operating systems. On my only windows 7 pc, I use an SSD on it. One of those computers with XP running on it is what I am using to get onto this post.
