Splitfish. It's not an animal that lives in the sea, and it's not a character you overlooked in Finding Nemo. It's a gaming peripheral company, and they're responsible for crafting some of the wildest, most out-of-the-box gaming accessories this side of Razer. Their newest device is tailored specifically for Xbox 360 gamers, the FragFX Shark 360. It's being called the world's first "super precision mouse hybrid gaming controller" (got all that?) for the Xbox 360, and it's certainly a crazy looking thing.

It's built for hardcore gamers willing to pay-up for expert controls, with this one boasting a mouse/analog stick combo that most console FPS gamers yearn for. The Shark offers plenty of customizable buttons, a 2.4GHz wireless system, plug-and-play controls, power from two AA batteries and support for headphones/chat. It works with any licensed wired Xbox 360 controller and is shipping now in North America for $89.99.

Reminds me of a Sidewinder peripheral way back then...

In any case, I don't think that this will be a successful endeavor. I mean sure, it allows console users to make a mouse but there was a device earlier that could let you do that but for a lot of money. Additionally, I don't know how people would be able to handle both a controller and a mouse at the same time while making it look comfortable... I don't know, it just looks very, very clunky to me.

It's going to have a very long uphill battle to fight against if it wants to gain acceptance.

Although this is an interesting idea, I feel that not a lot of people would be involved in using this new type of controller. For most cases, people choose to play by systems, not by a game. For example, an experienced Halo Reach player on the xbox 360 will not switch to the computer if the game happened to come out on the computer with a controller that you could connect to the PC. They would much rather stick with the 360. What would be the point in switching? It would be the same with games like COD. Barely any PC COD players would switch to the xbox just because this new mouse controller came out.
But this is just my opinion..we'll see what happens.
