At full transfer speed aren't we speaking 1GBps roughly, which means it takes 2 hours to transfer 8TB at that speed. I'm more interested in what the actual performance of those 4TB drives are, they can't possibly be writing/reading very fast with how much work it is to get at every bit on their discs.
1Gbps you mean (that's 128MBps) which should be off of one drive. Since this is RAID0, your looking at ~190 to 220 MBps on seq data.
